In eight days, 100 low-income entrepreneurs in Ann Arbor, Michigan, are slated to start receiving monthly payments of $528 as participants in the Guaranteed Income to Grow Ann Arbor program.
Administered by the University of Michigan’s Poverty Solutions team, this two-year pilot initiative began distributing payments in January to individuals who had been selected beforehand. Kristin Seefeldt, the associate director of Poverty Solutions, told the Washington Examiner that payments will be issued on the 15th of each month, with exceptions for weekends and holidays.
