The deadline to remove pro-Palestinian supporters from the encampment at Columbia University was extended until 8 a.m., reported WCKR-FM, the student-run radio station of Columbia University.

Columbia announced on Tuesday it was in discussions with encampment organizers and leaders to establish a deadline for its removal, the New York Times reported. The original deadline was Wednesday at 12 a.m., which the university set late Tuesday. Columbia said it would use “alternative options” to clear the protest area after the deadline passed, according to reports.
