White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is hosting a press briefing at the White House on Wednesday beginning at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time.
The briefing comes after Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh was killed in Tehran, Iran. The United States has denied any involvement in the attack.

Israel has not taken public accountability for the attack, but it is suspected the country was behind the killing due to its war against Hamas.
Haniyeh had been a part of negotiation talks to secure a ceasefire in the region.
