Ted Cruz cites Latino values in ‘historic opportunity’ for GOP to win vote

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) argued the values of Latino Americans are greatly in line with the Republican Party, which gives lawmakers a major chance to win the voting bloc in the November elections.

Cruz launched a $4.4 million Spanish advertising campaign last month that seeks to persuade Latino American voters to support his bid for a third Senate term. The Texas senator, whose father is from Cuba, argued his party has a “historic opportunity” to win over Latino American voters because their values are “fundamentally conservative.”
