Former President Donald Trump denied a “conflict or ‘fighting'” occurred during his visit to Arlington National Cemetery last week after the Army confirmed an “incident” had occurred.
Trump visited the cemetery on the third anniversary of 13 U.S. service members being killed in the 2021 Abbey Gate bombing during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. The former president went to the cemetery at the invitation of the Gold Star families, who have defended his appearance. The Army said in a statement last week that a cemetery employee, who it claims was reminding participants of cemetery rules, was “abruptly pushed aside” but declined to press charges.
