Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) called on Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams to resign as he faces a slew of corruption allegations.
“I seriously question whether the mayor will be able to attract and adequately recruit qualified leadership and qualified replacements for these vacancies due to the widespread presence of these scandals and investigations,” Ocasio-Cortez told reporters on Wednesday. “And so to me, I think that is what this really just comes down to: the continuity of governance for everyday New Yorkers.”
