Vance concerned about new Syrian leadership: ‘Literal offshoot of ISIS’

Vice President-elect J.D. Vance responded to the Syrian rebels’ stunning takeover of the Middle Eastern country earlier Sunday, expressing concern about the new leadership but reiterating President-elect Donald Trump‘s stance that the United States should not get involved.

On X, Vance responded to a post from a Washington Post columnist that praised the collapse of Syrian President Bashar al Assad’s regime, saying that opinions lauding the rebels, who are an offshoot of al Qaeda, make him “nervous.”
