President Trump began his first Memorial Day in office by sending out a thank you message over Twitter to fallen service members.
“Honoring the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to America. Home of the free, because of the brave. #MemorialDay,” Trump tweeted.

Minutes later, Trump followed up with another post, this time rebuking North Korea for its most recent missile test.
“North Korea has shown great disrespect for their neighbor, China, by shooting off yet another ballistic missile…but China is trying hard!” Trump wrote.
North Korea fired a short-range ballistic missile off its east coast on Sunday. It flew for six minutes before landing in the Sea of Japan.
