Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) rebuked the physical attack on Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) on Tuesday night. In a social media post on X, the senator criticized the political climate, calling it “open season” for hurting people with different viewpoints.
“I condemn this attack — one that’s part of an emerging national conversation: Condoning, celebrating, or rationalizing the attack or execution of somebody with differing views,” Fetterman said in his post.
