Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) recommended that President-elect Donald Trump help unite the “free-range chickens” of the Republican Party under the government spending bill.

With a government shutdown looming, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) released his continuing resolution to fund the government this week to a mixed reaction from his party. Kennedy said the over-1,500-page legislation “was as big as a Costco” and resulted in a “multiple vehicle pileup” among Republicans.
