Hegseth will be confirmed as DOD secretary by end of Trump's first week: Roger Wicker

Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS) was enthusiastic for Pete Hegseth’s confirmation vote for secretary of defense, expressing how important it is for Hegseth to be confirmed given the “dangerous” times the United States is facing.

In previewing the next steps for Hegseth, whom Wicker said is “definitely on his way” to getting confirmed, the Mississippi senator said a hearing on the matter would be held on Monday afternoon, and that a vote would likely be held “by the end of the week.”
