Pete Hegseth, President Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of defense, faces a possible roadblock to becoming the head of the Defense Department with a claim of inappropriate behavior made by his former sister-in-law.
Danielle Hegseth, who used to be married to Hegseth’s brother, alleged in an affidavit distributed to the Senate Armed Services Committee that the former Fox News host was abusive to his second wife, which caused her allegedly to fear for her safety. Hegseth denied these claims and said they were merely more smear tactics designed to derail his confirmation.
