President Donald Trump promised swift action when he began his second term, and so far, he has upheld that commitment. Just a few days into his presidency, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has arrested hundreds of illegal immigrants with violent criminal records. Those detained included child sex offenders, gang members, suspected terrorists, and people convicted of homicide.
The deportations were recognized and celebrated by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt in a post on X.
