Musk contributed tens of millions of dollars to Trump’s reelection campaign and organized a PAC that helped with voter registration and get-out-the-vote efforts. He has been a staunch supporter of the president and an integral member of his administration. Musk, a special government employee and presidential adviser, has identified numerous areas of government waste through the Department of Government Efficiency, claiming to have saved the government billions of dollars.
