The national average price for a gallon of regular gas increased to $3.168 on Monday. It’s the second straight week that started with increased fuel costs.

Monday’s price was a slight boost from the weekend, when the average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.159 on Sunday, according to AAA. The price was also higher than a week ago, when the cost of regular gas was $3.128 per gallon. Costs are also more expensive than a month ago, when fuel prices were $3.114 per gallon.
