South Carolina lawmakers in the state House have pushed forward legislation that would eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion programs at the state level.
President Donald Trump made eliminating DEI programs in the federal government one of his first actions when he returned to the White House in January, signing executive orders doing such. His administration has also threatened to withhold federal funding to states and entities that do not comply with the order.
