Carlos Gimenez says Medicaid benefits won’t ‘be touched’ in budget reconciliation

Rep. Carlos Gimenez (R-FL) suggested that the next budget reconciliation could result in changes to Medicaid qualifications but that it will not affect benefits.

Republicans are committed to trillions in federal spending cuts, and Medicaid is appearing as a large target. However, Gimenez assured that he has no intention to cut benefits. He said there are some other costs that “we all agree on.”
