Vance hints DOGE could continue past 2026 as its work will never be ‘truly done’

Vice President JD Vance provided an update on the effects the Department of Government Efficiency is having on the U.S. government, during which he hinted that this initiative could continue past its expected completion date of July 4, 2026. 

Vance’s assessment on DOGE was provided on the Trump administration’s 100th day in office. The vice president said the administration has made “a lot of progress” in eliminating waste but stressed that it is not done “by any means.”
