The Chinese-American Planning Council, which coached illegal immigrants on how to evade authorities, has received up to $445,969 in funding from sources linked to the Chinese government since 2018, according to records reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation

Funders linked to the Chinese Communist Party that have made contributions to the group include the state-owned Bank of China, the state-run Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the Bank of East Asia — an institution whose executives have served on a top CCP body — and the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center, a health service provider whose eponymous billionaire patron frequently meets with high-level CCP operatives and formerly served as an “executive director” of the China Overseas Exchange Association, an organization that was found to be part of a Chinese government-backed global influence operation.
