Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) signaled Tuesday that four Republican senators will be working to improve what he referred to as the current “weak” and “anemic” spending cuts to the Big, Beautiful Bill Act.

Paul is not the only critic of the tax legislation. Republican senators have scrutinized it for costing some $400 billion in tax cuts. Sens. Mike Lee (R-UT), Ron Johnson (R-WI), and Rick Scott (R-FL) also oppose it as it was passed in the House.
