Another first for SpaceX and its Falcon 9 reusable rocket. 112 launches, 72 landings, and 55 relaunches. But Friday’s launch is the first re-use to propel humans – four astronauts destined for the International Space Station.
All made possible by technological advances that a generation ago seemed impossible… even after 72 landings, the images seem to defy the laws of physics.
Bigger things await. The Falcon 9’s re-usable big brother, Falcon Heavy, has thrust equivalent to eighteen 747’s, and will one day carry astronauts to Mars.
