US economy ‘performance’ will determine GOP’s midterm chances: Joe Concha

The Washington Examiner’s Joe Concha said Wednesday it is unlikely the One Big Beautiful Bill Act will hurt the Republican Party ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, saying it comes down to the economy’s well-being.

Republicans and Democrats seek to control the messaging of the “big, beautiful bill,” which President Donald Trump signed into law on July 4. The Republican Party wants to demonstrate to voters how it will aid the United States, whereas Democratic lawmakers are trying to paint the law in a negative light.
