Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell will face off against left-wing activist and organizer Katie Wilson in the city’s mayoral election in November.
According to reports, Wilson was leading the incumbent in the early returns of Tuesday’s primary election in Seattle by a slight margin of 46.4% to 45%. Election returns showed five candidates received at least 1% of the vote in Tuesday’s primary, with the top two candidates advancing to the election in November. Harrell and Wilson both received over 45% of the vote, with the next closest candidate receiving just 5%.
