New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy was confronted in a restaurant for his coronavirus restrictions in a video that has gone viral.
“Hey, how ya doing?” a woman asks the governor, who is initially maskless, as another woman is heard saying in the video posted this weekend, “You are such a dick.”
“You’re having fun with your family, and in the meantime, you’re having all other kind of bullshit going on,” the first woman continues.
“Guess who Trump likes? He likes my dad,” a man at the table says, ostensibly Murphy’s son.
“No, he doesn’t like your father,” one of the women responds.
Murphy stayed quiet throughout the video and was wearing a face mask when the camera panned back to him.

Just last week, Murphy announced that New Jersey residents must limit Thanksgiving celebrations to 10 people.
“We’re urging everybody to keep their Thanksgiving plans as small as possible because we know that indoor gatherings and homes are particularly dangerous places for COVID-19 to spread,” Murphy said last Monday. “The smaller the gathering is, the less likely it is that someone is infected and puts their loved ones at risk. It is that simple.”
Other states have implemented similar restrictions ahead of Thanksgiving, including in New York, where there’s a 10-person limit for Thanksgiving celebrations.
Sheriffs in New York have already pushed back on the restrictions, saying they would not enforce them as they can put their resources to better use.
“With regard to the Thanksgiving Executive Order, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office will NOT be enforcing it against our County residents,” said Fulton County Sheriff Richard Giardino in a Facebook post after the restrictions were announced. “Frankly, I am not sure it could sustain a Constitutional challenge in Court for several reasons including your house is your castle. And as a Sheriff with a law degree I couldn’t in good faith attempt to defend it in Court, so I won’t.”
“We have limited resources and we have to set priorities, so obtaining a Search Warrant to enter your home to see how many Turkey or Tofu eaters are present is not a priority,” Giardino added. “We won’t be doing that. The only way to enter your residence is if we have a warrant, we are invited in or an exigent or emergency circumstance exist. We have three patrols a shift for 500 square miles, monitoring Family Dinners aren’t our priority.”
