It’s long been rumored that “The Hills” is scripted, but would two of its cast members go so far as to stage an entire wedding?
Maybe so. After they snuck off to Mexico for a surprise elopement, publicity-happy couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt faced a skeptical barrage of suspicion that they faked the whole thing.
But Spencer insists that’s not the case. Though his bride’s parents weren’t even present, the ceremony was “officiated by a minister and photographed by the hotel photographer,” he declares in a statement to the AP.
The love-to-hate-him reality star has even revealed to the press the nauseating — er, moving —vows he recited to Heidi: “You are the light in my life like the sun to the earth. Your loving warmth makes me want to be a better person. Being with you, I feel complete. I’m honored to even be able to call you my wife.”
So how about that small matter of the fact that they were wed outside the U.S.?
“Like other elopements that happen outside the country, we’ll take care of the legal details when we get home,” Spencer asserts.
Uh-huh. Not fake at all.
K-Fed Dumped Britney?!?
Britney Spears revealed a bombshell to Rolling Stone: Contrary to popular assumption, it was ex-husband Kevin Federline who decided to end their marriage, not the other way around.
“I didn’t think my husband was gonna leave me,” the pop icon confesses to the magazine.
And though the former spouses are now civil to each other as they hand off their two sons for visits, Britney says she’s concerned about the way K-Fed is raising the boys.
“They’re starting to learn words like ‘stupid,’ and [Sean] Preston says the F-word now sometimes,” the “Womanizer” singer says. “He doesn’t get it from us. He must get it from his daddy. I say it, but not around my kids.”
This is the same Kevin Federline we’re talking about, right? We’re not exactly sure where he would get off calling anyone stupid.
Evan: Rebounding?
After ending her mondo bizarro romance with shock rocker Marilyn Manson, Evan Rachel Wood has reportedly taken up with a guy from her own age group — not to mention planet. The actress is seeing “3rd Rock From the Sun” star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, according to the National Enquirer.
“This thing with Joseph has come out of nowhere,” a source tells the tabloid. “They’ve taken everyone by surprise.”
At a recent awards show, “they were having so much fun together. They were dancing wildly, drinking and flirting.”
“Joseph’s a genuinely nice guy,” the source continued. “He and Evan Rachel are very compatible and make a cute couple. After her relationship with Manson, there’s no doubt in my mind her parents are relieved she’s finally dating someone closer to her age.”
Plus, rather than looking like a space alien, he just played one on TV. Upgrade!
