Nothing like a natural disaster to bring together two sharply divided politicians on an important issue like the danger of yard signs.

Democrat Tim Kaine and Republican George Allen, in a bitter battle for Virginia’s open U.S. Senate seat, both asked supporters Sunday to take down campaign yard signs before Hurricane Sandy rips them up and hurls them into someone’s house or car.
