CNN was cleared by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration to fly small drones over crowds of people at newsworthy events, according to a report.

Bloomberg reported Wednesday CNN, which began researching using drones for newsgathering in early 2015, got the waiver to use a small camera attached to four spinning rotors called a “Snap” drone.
