WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration has moved to ensure it doesn’t lose more than $500 million in potential Egypt aid as it weighs suspending assistance after this summer’s coup.

U.S. officials and congressional aides say the State Department notified Congress Friday it intends to use the money.
