A law enforcement officer was injured during an illegal immigration enforcement operation in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Sunday.

A suspect drove a van at law enforcement officers while they were conducting an operation in Charlotte’s University City section, according to the Department of Homeland Security. Then, while engaged in a high-speed chase in an attempt to evade law enforcement personnel, the suspect allegedly weaponized his van and rammed it at law enforcement officials who were in pursuit.
