SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — A bill that would force political nonprofits to reveal the names of campaign donors no longer applies retroactively under an amendment pushed by Republican lawmakers and approved Thursday by the Assembly.
The Assembly agreed to the amendment by unanimous voice vote after SB27 fell one vote short of passing the Senate last month.
