CBS News announced on Wednesday that it will move CBS Mornings co-host Tony Dokoupil to its evening line-up as the network seeks to win back viewers who have “lost trust in the media.”

Dokoupil will host CBS Evening News starting Jan. 5, 2026, around seven years after he began co-hosting CBS Mornings with Gayle King and Nate Burleson. CBS Evening News co-hosts John Bickerson and Maurice DeBois announced their resignations in October and last week, respectively. Their final episodes of the show will air this month.
