D.C. police are on the lookout for a man in a red van who has engaged in inappropriate conversations with middle school students.
Around 8:30 a.m. Friday, a 14-year-old girl was on her way to school at 10th and U streets NW when a man pulled up in a van and asked, “Do you want to ride with me?” The girl replied that she was only 14 years old, and the man said he didn’t care. The girl refused to get in the van and the man waved and drove away.
Police were on the lookout for a black male, about 25 years old, medium complexion, wearing a blue jump suit, driving a red van of unknown make or model.
The public is asked to contact police if you see someone that fits the description and to please try to get a tag number and make and model of the vehicle.
