One college student is dead and another has been arrested as Maryland State Police investigate the fatal stabbing at Bowie State University.
The victim is identified as 18-year-old Dominique T. Frazier, 18, of the District. The suspect is in the custody of Maryland State Police, but will not be identified until charges are filed. She is a 19-year-old student from District Heights.
The young women were roommates.
Around 8 p.m. Thursday, university police responding to a call in the Christa McAuliffe Residential Community building on campus and found the vicitm in the hallway on the second floor. She was bleeding from the upper torso and unconscious. The was taken to a hospital and died about 45 minutes later.
At about midnight, the roommate turned herself in to Prince George’s County Police.
Preliminary investigation indicates the women became involved in an argument in their suite that escaltated into a physical confrontation.
