WASHINGTON (AP) — A former U.S. visa chief in Vietnam is facing charges that he sold visas for $20,000 to $70,000 each, raking in several million dollars in bribes.

Michael Todd Sestak appeared in federal court Tuesday, where a judge ordered him retained in custody. He is charged with conspiracy to defraud the U.S. and conspiracy to commit bribery and visa fraud.
