The free Smithsonian museums and variety of attractions has scored D.C. a spot on ABC City Guides for Kids’ top seven family-friendly vacation destinations. Washington ranked seventh on the Top 7 Family Destinations list during a year that travel experts believe will be another strong year for family travel.
Here’s why D.C. made the cut, according to ABC:
The Smithsonian Museums, International Spy Museum and Newseum will be bustling all year. Plan a visit during the National Cherry Blossom Festival and catch a Nats game too.
Others that made the list, in order, are: Pittsburgh; Atlantic City, N.J.; Times Square, New York City; Chicago; Philadelphia and Louisville.
