TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — A man and woman are in custody after an armed robbery and police chase that ended with two Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies being hit by the suspects’ vehicle.

Authorities say 30-year-old Jovanny Pena is in stable condition after deputies fired at him as he drove his Jeep Liberty toward them on Wednesday evening. His 30-year-old accomplice Bryna McLaughlin was also taken to the hospital after complaining of an unrelated medical issue. Both were arrested.
