Department of Education secretary Betsy DeVos visited a charter school in Florida backed by rapper Pitbull on Thursday.
Photos on Twitter showed DeVos, who has spoken positively about charter schools, and Pitbull speaking to students at SLAM, an acronym for Sports, Leadership and Management.
Pitbull helped open the Miami school in 2013.
The high school and middle school both received a C rating in 2016 in Florida’s school accountability system, according to Education Week.
