Republican nominee Donald Trump said Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz took the fall for Hillary Clinton in the wake of the party’s email scandal.
Trump compared Wasserman Schultz to an “innocent lamb” being sacrificed for the greater good for the party, explaining that was why she was picked up by Clinton’s campaign as the honorary chair of its 50-state outreach program following her forced resignation from the party’s committee.
