Washington Examiner investigations editor Sarah Bedford warned that there’s a new wave of socialists reshaping the Democratic Party, not by leading with controversial cultural issues, but by focusing exclusively on economic populism.

“It’s a huge problem for Democrats, but I would say that Republicans should take this threat seriously,” Bedford said on the Hugh Hewitt Show Wednesday. “There’s a reason why the socialists are surging in popularity.”
