Last month, the national debt hit $40 trillion, a milestone that drew attention to the government’s precarious fiscal footing. Some experts think a bipartisan fiscal commission would be the best way to fix the problem, and this week, the Washington Examiner reported that the House Budget Committee will be holding a full hearing to look into such a commission.
