MOUNT MORRIS, N.Y. (AP) — A 14-year-old boy who died in a 200-foot fall into a gorge at a state park in upstate New York has been identified.

State Parks Police have identified him as Matthew Rezsnyak. They say he was walking along a trail at the park with an adult when he ventured off a path near the Great Bend overlook and fell into the gorge.

The Penfield Central School District says Rezsnyak was a Penfield High School ninth-grader.

School officials say they’ll have counselors at Penfield High on Monday for fellow students.
