S.C. man arrested in Carroll for contracting without a license

Carroll County sheriff?s deputies arrested a South Carolina man after he allegedly provided sloppy home-improvement services to four Houcksville residents.

Police charged Johnny Daniel Riley, 23, of North Augusta, S.C., with four counts of acting as a contractor without a license, according to the Friday report.

Residents who paid for exterior painting and driveway work called police after noticing one of Riley?s trucks had South Carolina plates, police said.

Riley is also wanted in Suwannee County, Fla., on charges of exploitation of the elderly and third-degree grand theft, according to police.
