Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn thinks it would be a political blunder for President Trump to fire special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election and possible collusion between Trump’s campaign and the Russians.

“I believe the president’s own lawyer says that’s not going to happen. I think that would be a mistake myself,” Cornyn told ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday.
