A Crofton man has been charged with sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl he also hired out as a prostitute in the District of Columbia, court documents said.

Arron Jahimal Burroughs, 35, is being held without bail in Washington until a hearing today, said Stephanie Bragg, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney?s office in D.C.

He was arrested Monday morning after a Takoma Park police officer found two people in a parked car engaged in oral sex, according to charging documents.

The girl in the car, 15, told police she was a prostitute and that Burroughs, a volunteer football coach at Bowie High School and a Metro bus driver, was her pimp.

The girl said that for almost a year, Burroughs had been transporting her from Maryland to D.C. to engage in acts of prostitution and have sex with her, charging documents stated.

Burroughs also took several “nude, sexually graphic pictures” of the girl on his cell phone camera, the documents said.

On Monday, Burroughs had rented a room for the girl to use with customers at the Budget Inn on New York Avenue in D.C. She was picked up by a man in the car, who paid her $150, the documents said.

While police were questioning the girl Monday, Burroughs sent her a text message: “Where are you?”

Investigators then arranged a controlled phone call between the girl and Burroughs, in which she asked him to pick her up at the Budget Inn. When he arrived, police arrested him.

Burroughs told police he had 2 pounds of marijuana in his Range Rover and sells the drug. Police charged him with first-degree child sexual abuse.

“[Burroughs] will no longer be welcome here or at any school,” said John White, a spokesman for Prince George?s County Schools. White said Burroughs was volunteer assistant junior varsity football coach at Bowie High for three years.
