Here’s a fun exercise in compare and contrast. Here’s Michael Barone’s latest column:
Obama has seen enough Architectural Digest-type interiors in Park Avenue triplexes and Beverly Hills mansions, and on the block in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights, where every house is owned by a billionaire, to develop an expertise in Louis XV walnut commodes and Brunschwig & Fils fabrics.
He’s also had plenty of chances to absorb the advice of the kind of rich liberals who like to give money to Democratic presidents.
Now here’s the fundraising email Obama campaign campaign sent out this morning:
It’ll just be me and these four supporters, with enough time to relax and have a real conversation.
I can’t wait.
I’m not going to get to do too many more of these before November. That’s just a fact.
Something tells me that if the president is having trouble scheduling time with grassroots supporters, he’ll have no trouble finding time to spend in Park Avenue triplexes, Beverly Hills mansions, and in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood.
