MSNBC uses ‘RESIST’ graphic

MSNBC on Wednesday displayed an on-screen graphic that said “RESIST,” the word widely used by President Trump’s opponents.

However, the cable news network was using it with a sense of apparent irony.

The graphic appeared leading into NBC correspondent Andrea Mitchell’s noon program as a tease for a segment about U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions remaining in his position even as President Trump publicly criticizes his work performance.

Still, some on social media noticed the graphic.

“The least subtle chyron of all time from MSNBC,” Philip Crowther, a White House reporter for France24, said on Twitter. He then referred to MSNBC as “The official 24-hour news channel of the resistance.”
