Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Tuesday that the decision he and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi made to skip a meeting last week with President Trump “absolutely” helped Democrats.

“We showed the president — no games, this is serious stuff,” Schumer told reporters. “We think he learned, and he invited us back this week.”
