Two Baltimore men have been charged with killing the owner of a Chinese food carry-out whom they robbed when he delivered their dinner.

Ronald Gamble, 18, of the 1000 block of Ashland Court, and Walter Taylor, 27, of the 800 block of Glade Court, are charged with murdering Tian Wang during a robbery on Jan. 3 in East Baltimore.

Wang, 51, the owner of China Garden at the Old Town Mall, received a call asking for a delivery at 810 Webb Court. When Wang arrived, he was ambushed, robbed, and shot several times, police said.

Tracking cell phone numbers, it was determined that Taylor called in the food order before he and Gamble robbed the owner, police said. Gamble fired the fatal shots that killed Wang, according to charging documents.

Police said they tracked a subsequent phone call Taylor made to his girlfriend, Vivian Cromwell, while he was on his way to her house with the Chinese food.

Taylor, Cromwell, and her children then all sat around and ate the food, according to charging documents. Taylor even returned the next day to finish the leftovers.

Police said they interviewed Taylor on Jan. 23 and he confessed.

Taylor and Gamble have a hearing date scheduled for Feb. 24.
