Journalist Andy Ngo, who reports on violence from antifa members, said he fled his home in Portland due to repeated death threats from antifa, which law enforcement allegedly did “nothing” about.
“For a number of months now, there’s just been increasing threats of violence against me, promises by antifa extremists to …. kill me,” Ngo said during an interview with Sky News, revealing he fled to London.
“And all of those threats were reported to authorities, and even when I provided names of some of the suspects, nothing was done,” he added.

He added that it “pained” him to leave the United States, even if temporarily, especially since his parents settled in the U.S. as political refugees from Vietnam.
“The Portland Police Bureau will continue to document reported crimes and follow up as information is available. When there is sufficient evidence, cases are submitted to the district attorney’s office,” Portland Police told the Washington Examiner of Ngo’s repeated reports to police.
Ngo has made a name for himself covering riots caused by antifa and Black Lives Matter members. In 2019, he grabbed the nation’s attention when he was attacked by antifa for his coverage of the group and was left injured.

His coverage of antifa led him to write a book titled Unmasked: Inside Antifa’s Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy. It has seen popularity on Amazon ahead of its release, but it was pulled from shelves in Portland bookstore Powell’s Books.
