Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter are part of a group whose bid to purchase the Miami Marlins baseball team has been accepted, according to a report.
Bloomberg cites a source in reporting the contract hasn’t been signed yet and the details of the offer are not yet known.
Bush unsuccessfully ran for president in 2016.
His brother, former President George W. Bush, once owned the Texas Rangers baseball team.
The team is a two-time World Series winning franchise, having won in 1997 and 2003.
